How? Why? 

As an emerging artist, I am still looking for my niche what drives me into painting? What is it that makes me want to paint? Or maybe I already found it but am still looking for ways to explore how to render my ideas on paper or canvas.

I have been experimenting with relief printmaking, drawing and other mixed media to express my ideas and experiences through my paintings.

Living in a small border town in the Chihuahuan desert, I grew up admiring the nature surrounding the Rio Grande, like mountains outlining the semidesertical landscapes and the spectacular colorful skies at sunset. All these things gave life to inspiration to recreate what I saw in drawings and paintings. 

Music plays an important role in my life. Norteno music has always been a great influence on everything I do. Most of work has that musical influence and character.
